There’s a first time for everything. That’s a fact. But I never imagined that I would ever create my own page on DA. Guess hell froze over, or something similarly catastrophic happened…

But oh, where are my manners? Introductions first!
Well, I’m cubegamer007, born August 1984, and a student ‘Design for Virtual Theatre and Games’ at the HKU (Utrecht, The Netherlands)
This obviously got me in touch with Arts once again. It’s actually been some time now since I’ve drawn and stuff, because before September 2006 I’ve kept myself busy with the - not so creative - ‘art’ of Software Engineering. But luckily I got tired of that (okok I also sucked at it ) and took up something a lot more creative.

My drawing skills are at an early stage now, but I hope to change that over the course of these coming years, but that means I have to find the time to practice. And that is where the first problem pops up… The only time for drawing I’ve had recently is during art-classes so the first post you’ll see will probably be assignments done during these classes.

I also bought a book about drawing to help me with the more basic stuff (yeah, that means even more basic than the work I’ve done so far) but to quote a large company: “It starts with ambition” And there’s no lacking that, I’m afraid ^^ I’m planning on trying just about everything, from drawing to modelling (3D) and texturing (is that even a word?) And from making concepts to fully inked digital paintings!

And this is where you all can come to my rescue… Considering my skill now I’ve got a long way to go, so please help me with any advice, warnings, criticism, patting on the back and even harsh comments (please keep it constructive XD) that you real artists see fit in encouraging me to push on and break boundaries that I thought I’d never overcome!
